OUR MISSION

We help people build and protect the strength and mobility that carries them through life's hardest moments.

So that when things get hard, their body is ready. In Stride is a mobile longevity fitness service, built around fall prevention, functional strength, and mobility.

OUR PROGRAM

A program built on three pillars

But sessions are just the starting point: our goal is to help you build an active lifestyle for every day of the week, not just the days we work together.

Fall Prevention

Balance, reaction time, and confidence on your feet.

Functional Strength

Real-world strength for the movements of daily life.

Mobility

Range of motion that keeps you moving freely.

In Stride is not a physical therapy practice and does not treat or diagnose medical conditions. We are a specialized fitness and wellness service — and we can work alongside your healthcare team to make sure your program is safe, appropriate and effective.

500-Hr Yoga Teacher · NASM Senior Fitness Specialist · OTAGO Program Trained

In Stride was founded by Kira McPeake, a 500-hour registered yoga teacher and NASM Senior Fitness Specialist with a BS in Supply Chain Management from Arizona State University and a deep commitment to the science of healthy aging.

In 2024 Kira left her corporate job to care for her sick mother. Kira created In Stride after witnessing firsthand how quickly mobility can decline — and how hard it is to recover without the right support and someone by your side.

WHY IN STRIDE EXISTS

The story behind In Stride

My mom was 57 when she was diagnosed with aggressive Stage IV breast cancer.

She stayed remarkably active at first, hiking nearly every day, even through the Arizona heat. But after multiple hospital stays and the malnutrition that came with chemo nausea, even standing up from a chair was impossible without help.

Her doctors at the Mayo Clinic prescribed physical and occupational therapy. I attended every session, and at home each day I built routines from what her doctors had given us while adjusting to how she felt, pushing her gently when she had more in her, pulling back when she didn't. With consistency and hard work, she bounced back remarkably and even started speed walking outside again.

Over the course of two years she went through multiple cycles of that same journey — becoming very weak in the hospital, then rebuilding her strength at home, session by session. Towards the end of her last hospital stay, I was helping her walk the hospital corridor when she told me she wouldn't have been able to regain her strength time after time without someone by her side holding her accountable, keeping her safe and guiding her through the exercises.

She also told me she couldn't imagine having recovered the way she did without the baseline of fitness and mobility she had going in.

What those two years taught me is that the foundation you build now is what carries you through the hardest moments later. And having the right support beside you makes all the difference.

That's why I started In Stride — to help people build and protect that foundation, so that when life gets hard, their body is ready.
